On July 9th , together with the Fundación Generación Libre, we launched a digital inclusion campaign so that school-aged children have access to new technologies as a part of their formal education, which is what our new Education Law mandates.
The campaign promotes the need to incorporate the OLPC project into Argentine classrooms. By means of this we wish to stimulate awareness regarding digital inclusion and open up the floor for discussion about the program’s future challenges in our country, such as open-source stable software aside from that which we already have, or digital training for the teachers as well. The project has been talked about a lot lately, but unfortunately, we have very little official information about the issue.
The definition of important issues is always late-coming during election years.
We think that it is currently necessary to push forward with a project that may revolutionize our country’s public education.
A campaign for digital inclusion
