Yesterday, the Governor of Tucumán, José Alperovich, inaugurated a new parliamentary session in the Province. According to our institutional design, the Parliament is responsible for setting up the lines of general policy within a republic. In front of the legislators, after stating the government's actions, he said: “If we were capable of firmly setting this path, and maintaining it during the last few years, just imagine what we could do in the coming years if we follow the same path. I have even more hope now than when I became governor and I am also more sure than ever that our province's better days are yet to come. Those problems, that just three years ago seemed impossible to solve, now crumble when faced with our strengths. These are times of hope and we have in our hands the possibility of making Tucumán a province that is even more prosperous, and making sure that that prosperity reaches more people in Tucumán.
While this was happening in our area, President Nestor Kirchner was addressing the country’s National Congress and telling us argentines that "We have to look up high and far so as to set the foundation for a project of a plural and diverse Argentina; we have overcome the worst moments and the country is showing sustained economic growth that leaves behind structural deficiencies”.
