“Government is the instrument by which politics reaches society and improves its way of life. This is why, in this very city, I got into politics.” This is what Cristina Fernandez said to her town, La Plata, in the Teatro Argentino. She will be the first woman who, elected by the people, will reach Rivadavia’s seat.
During the last few years women have been gaining ground in the most varied political stages in the world, where the most important decisions are made. And the female stamp reached Argentina: Nowadays any political analyst of our country’s reality knows that we are faced with the candidate who has the best chance of being elected during October’s Presidential elections.
During her launch she said: “We have rebuilt the democratic constitutional system of decisions”, referring to the Presidential authority, and the current Parliamentary and Judicial situations. She stated, with emphasis, that “From this moment on we will put the text of the National Constitution into force”.
The candidate for Frente para la Victoria said that she will push forward with “an accumulation model with social inclusion, continuity and a deepening of what we have done so far”.
A few days ago Hugo Haime was telling me how the people can see in Cristina’s personality and tone, that she is a woman determined to defend the interests of even the poorest people. Winds of noticeable improvements are blowing.
Cristina’s Time
