Internet in Venezuelan politics

Hugo Chavez is one of the most committed Latin American political leaders in what regards the development of new technologies, as web as an active militant of open-source software. A good part of the politics of his country can be seen on YouTube. The opposition says that people are forced to participate in marches that show support of the government. Chavez supporters have given their answer, and it can be seen in the following video.

To the tune of Bersuit’s music, this video shows the “Caracazo” (the Caracas blow), the social uproar and massacre following it, ordered by Carlos Andres Perez, at the end of February, 1989.

And this is a video from the Chavez opposition, and like most of its propaganda, limits itself to being a parody.
